Now in its 13th year, the North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show (NAHBS) chose Salt Lake City for their annual showcase of some of the world’s most exquisite hand-built bicycles. Bike builders from all across the country gathered at the Salt Palace Convention Center to show off their custom bikes. The event showcases local “garage builders” who crank out one or two bikes a year, all of the way up to larger operations.
Mountain bikes, gravel bikes, touring bikes and of course road bikes were all present at the show. Builders use all sorts of materials for their builds; from the more traditional steel to titanium, carbon, wood and even bamboo.
Local builders took the opportunity of the show passing through SLC to showcase some of their products as well. Local builder SaltAir was present, featuring a beautifully finished purple steel bike. Carbon component manufacturer ENVE was also at the show, as were some other local bike builders.
I was able to swing by and grab some shots of the beautiful bikes. Check out the gallery below.
